Hello,

I am tired of clean "Clean menu" Open Recent, Clear Menu.. Recent Items. clear menu... Open Folders. Clear menu...:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I know this is macOS but is there any option like Windows that respect privacy and doesn't store recent?

Thanks
Camelia

Yep... OP just go to the General tab in System prefs and set it to none and you should be all set.

Unfortunately ... this setting within System Preferences does NOT affect Finder's Recents.
For that you have to open Finder (or just left click on blank wallpaper area) ... click on Finder > Preferences > Sidebar (corrected).
From here you can unselect "Recents".
NOTE: This only "hides" the Recents folder within Finder ... it's still accessible from Finder > GO menu list.
