Hi all.

I'm using 10.6.8 and it used to show my Admin username when prompt popped up but now it's blank.

How do I put it back. I don't mind typing Password. but Both is a pain.
Xcode demands I login as admin to run the simulator, so this is now.
annoying..

thanks
Ian

If the active user is an admin, you will only be prompted for password. If the current user is not an admin, you will be asked to provide an admin user name and password.

If you are being prompted for both, check to see if the account you are logged in with is an admin.

Most people use a single account that is the admin, so they (we) only type our password. As the other poster mentioned, if you're not logged in as the admin, you'll have to type both in. That's a security feature of OSX.
