So i was waiting for it to come out since last summer, obviously i knew that it wasn't coming out until broadwell was released but i thought it would come out before the end of the first quarter. Rumors say otherwise. I was hoping for an announcement during the iPhone press conference but didn't feel like it was going to happen, was really wishing it happened during the ipad event. I am tired of waiting but also don't want to get into a bad habit of it, cause i'll miss the good things that are right in front of me.

So the way i weigh this situation is, Broadwell update is coming at the end of Feb, the CPU's will perform the same as the Haswell CPU's (unless i am mistaken) but they use less power, so i am hoping that i get more usage out of the new air's (hopefully...). They will be Broadwell U from what i have read and its faster than Broadwell Core M (unless i am mistaken).

It would make sense for apple to wait for Skylake cause of the performance boost and i assume they don't wanna release a product that is slower than its predecessor.

I would like having a very light macbook air but i am afraid that the 12 inches might be too small. Also it might not even be a macbook it might be the ipad pro. I don't wanna wait until the summer or the end of this year for it. I will be getting the broadwell refresh.

Plus i could probably sell the air for like 70% of the original price and get the new retina when they come out...if they ever do.

Planning on 13inch, 8gb and 256 GB

what you boys think?
