I read something very recently about a Tivo-like program but to record radio programs. It cost around $25-35 and was highly rated. I've torn my place apart trying to find this reference again, to no avail. Does anyone know about such a program?

No, but have you searched for a podcast version? A lot of radio programs come out on iTunes for free pretty quick after they air.

I use Streamripper and it works great. It is free and can be used from the command line with the CRON or via a graphical interface.

I record about a dozen shows a week using it and it has performed flawlessly.

Thanks to all of you for your help with this problem. Radioshift was what I had read about and I've downloaded and paid for it. Thanks again for all the help--this is why I love this site so much!
