TM backup on Lacie hd over AEBS not seen when trying to do a full restore...

I'm using a Lacie hd hooked to my AEBS to hold backups from Time Machine. That part works perfect.

I reformatted my MBP and then hooked up the drive locally and over the AE to choose the backup when instructed to but the backup never showed up no matter what type of connection. I had to manually drag things back to my MBP to rebuild it.

Any reason?

Anyone else been able to do complete restores from backups of third party hd's over an AEBS?
