Sarcasmville.
I recently picked up a new external to meet my needs for more storage. My current external disk for TM and extra storage was somehow formatted to Journaled/Case Sensitive when I first started using it, but to my displeasure I found out that many applications aren't keen on case sensitivity. Now that I have a chance to move to a brand new drive, I can clone across and get rid of this nightmare. Or so I hope.

Can it be done? I've tried doing a restore with Disk Utility, but when I tried to copy the backup directory, it threw up a permission denied error. System owns that backup file, so would trying to do it with the root user work? Better yet, any command line solutions?

Thanks in advance,
Sammich.
