I'm a avid user of Affinity Designer and have recently fort months worked on a borrowed spec'ed out 2011 15" MBP. I finally got my new Macbook with 16GB and while it's really nice (all but the keyboard) it's actually slower when working with graphical documents. A good bunch of layers but no 3D or any crazy rendering. Even zooming in an app like Pixave is slower.

Can this really be true even though I no longer use a dedicated GPU? I would think a 5 year newer integrated GPU would be more than plenty for this kind of work. Or maybe just something I can expect to be fixed with a firmware upgrade at some point?
