Tmobile carrier update on AT&T iphone

I have question that hopefully someone can answer. I have an unlocked AT&T iphone 5 with AT&T service but also use a pay as you go Tmobile nano sim. If I do the tmobile carrier update on my phone, will this change my AT&T settings? Don't think it would but wanted to check before doing so. Thanks.

Forgot to mention the tmobile is only cell service, no data.

Yes it will and once you switch back to an att sim card you will get the att carrier bundle back. I switch sims all the time with different carriers.
