Hi folks, i'm trying to help someone get an iphone active on tmobile and am not sure of the steps. Can someone reccomend an information source for this or help me out on the necessary steps? thanks in advance.

Need this info first.
I would need to buy an iphone. She doesn't have one. Baseband and firmware version checks are critical, i'm already aware of that one.

I'm not following..if you know BB and FW versions are critical then what do you need to know? Estimated costs? Search online! Are you asking us to do the searching for you??
Or as mentioned, just buy a factory unlocked phone from apple.
check iclarfied jailbreak and unlock wizard and unless you are willing to learn yourself then get a factory unlocked also my signature has a unlock wizard too. Fyi rumor is iphone 5 will be on T-Mobile just wait a few months and see.

The merger got denied. T-Mobile has long-term strategic plans. I doubt they will be attempting a merger anytime soon.
