I have been an AT&T customer for years. I went to a TMobile store today and signed up and plan on getting one in their store on the 19th. The salesman said he would hold the phones for me; but only thought that they would receive 16 gig models in their inventory. That doesn't sound right to me. Does anyone remember them having other than the minimum storage in prior years?

Very often the carriers get only base models in inventory for launch. Apple tries to figure which will be the best-selling models and produces more of those than other models. Even Apple Stores have less stock of the higher-end models. With the 5s you could get 16GB models in store but the 32GB and 64GB ones were in short supply and had to be ordered after the initial rush cleaned out existing stock.
