Buddy of mine sent me these pics from last weekend. This is a perfect example of how things can go real bad,real fast on the water. It's always in the back of my head when I'm on the water. Fortunately there were other boats in the area and nobody was hurt or lost..

From people on the scene,it was either a through hull fitting or a fitting to the live well that let go..Plug was in,it wasn't that..It was a 31' Fountain CC w/twin outboards..Not exactly a cheap boat by any means.
 
They were about 6 miles offshore..Fortunately there were several boats within minutes of them as the water temps there were in the upper 50's..
