I have been enjoying polling to see where people stand

so beta 1 and beta 2'ers (league of extraordinary beta 2 gentlemen we are don't forget) what are you going to do?

Not unless there is an official new evasion release. I don't trust any randos posting links to downloads for jailbreaks... that spells bad news.

Yeah true. I wonder the source of that idownloadblog unofficial build... If its from evaders since iDB has some connection to them but 'ted danson anonymous' like in Curb your Enthusiasm. Eh?

I tried to go to that link. I'm on extremely extremely secure and protective internet. And it blocked it. So I'm glad I tried here because I wouldn't trust it from home knowing that.
 
Got a boot loop on rMini with modified evasi0n on b3.

Back to b2 and not experimenting with my phone on that combo either.
 
You can't OTA update if you are JB right? I mean the update doesn't show up right? Its not showing up for me.

On Beta 2 now.

Assuming I can't download the full IPSW, the only way would be to restore to stock beta 1 or 2 and OTA update, yes?
 
I tried to take my VHS rentals to my nearest blockbuster (500miles away) yesternowmorrow and they still charged me a rewind fee. Hate that titanic uses TWO tapes :mad:

Anyways. It seems you just have to make the tool that it can do b3 according to a mod in their qa forum
 
I'm just too afraid to restore again and try even with a self-modified evasi0n and waste time getting a boot loop then re-configure b2 (once) again.

I was in the process of DFU resotring, then as it got close to fully extracting the IPSW and starting install process, I cancelled it and booted b2 up :D

If someone can confirm this works with an rMini wifi, I'd be more inclined to try it out.

Same with GSM iPhone 5.

People seem pretty quiet about this if they've jumped ship.

EDIT: made hex string edits to original evasi0n7 using this and successfully JB rMini and iPhone 5 :D

Happy with the b3 changes so far! Setting up devices from scratch to my liking is a PITA a bit, but comes with getting involved with jailbreaking and such. I can do them both config'd up in like an hour or so.

Returned to beta2.

Music app on beta3 sucks for artists that have hundreds of songs. And kinda meh in general.
 
havent used my ipad air much since doing the hex edit to evasion myself and installing last night

haven't had any problems yet though, cant vouch for the music app, dont use it.

The intermittent flashing apple logo upon booting that happened occasionally on b2 seems to be gone though

Oh yeah- that in itself will make me install b3 on my phone. If I can reproduce the music glitch I may go b2 on iPad though.
 
I already grabbed the beta 3 IPSW file last night just in case. I'm hoping that beta 2 doesn't expire, but to be safe.
I'm not really sure on the improvements list for beta 3, but I figure as long as evasion works on it that it might not be bad to move. I figure all the same Cydia tweaks that work on beta 2 will work on beta 3.
Is there a change log for beta 3? I can never find one for Apple iOS builds for some reason.

Interesting, if I play a video with the stock player then try in nplayer it fails.

I then reboot and try only playing it in nplayer and it works.

I guess I can live with that, how quirky.

Not sure if it had same behavior in b2, I likely never used the stock player.

I love what Apple did on iOS 7.1 Beta 3. This one much better than before...
