The profile I use everyday has windows and web tabs open that range from important baby animal videos to those pesky work related files. Hence I cannot help but waste dedicate precious work time to those cuddly animals and want to create a "strictly work" user profile but with all the controls of the admin.

The problem is, making a new admin profile is like buying a brand new computer so every single app and it's credentials have to be inputted plus the work space w/ extensions, etc.

Is there a way to create a user profile that clones everything of an existing user profile on the same computer?

It must be the same one I read.

The article had no date and looks more complicated then it needs to be. I assume it's quite old and wouldn't apply to 10.14 Mojave.

This is the article to which I'm referring, in case anyone wants to know.

The author describes the Time Machine method as "much easier" than using Terminal commands and shell scripts to achieve the end.

Like the OP I'm not sure it would still work. If it doesn't, it's probably because the procedure has become more complicated…not less.
