It would be great if AT&T actually worked right now. I can't call anyone on an AT&T phone from cell or landline and no data right now. In MD.

This is one of those answers to the "You're an Apple fanboy if..." the main reason you don't want to die is to live through to see the next iPhone.

You can't make a phone call in manhattan because AT&T is horrible in NYC. I think it has nothing to do with the quake. I'm in nj and I'm having minimal speed issues.

DC is pretty swamped right now. OP - I'm sure you were one of the people complaining about the tsumani and quakes in Japan because they would delay tech. Some (many) things are more important than the release of a phone. It may be helpful if you get your priorities in order.

DC here.

ATT's network came back up about 45 minutes ago. I've been receiving texts since then. A few folks near me who have Verizon say their phones are still not receiving signals.

I hope we all don't die before the iPhone 5 is released. Please hurry apple.

You'll be OK. The global cataclysm predicted by the Mayans should allow you to get the iPhone 5 and possibly 6, and the iPad 3, before we all die horribly sometime in 2012. So it's not all doom and gloom.

in VA maybe 40 miles from epicenter. no damage, pictures askew, a few things in the floor.

haven't heard of any injuries or much damage.

cool ride

Just so you guys know, the iPhone 5 was released during the earthquake. I tried to call you guys, but it seems like your guys' phones were down. It's sold out now....

Oh boy.

"The collective eye-rolling of everyone in California is probably moving the earth more than the east coast #earthquake."

Why don't you let the person decide what their priorities are, if they want the iPhone 5 then that is their priority. Things that are important to you are not important to everybody.
