that is the question. what do you guys think for the new aluminum macbook? anyone have trouble with scratches? i feel that if i put the shield on there it will take away from the textured of the aluminum.

on an ipod, definitely. but a macbook? the application process with the water/solution would concern me. plus I dont see it getting scratched up unless you dont have a case.

MacBook + Invisishield = LAME

I 100% believe they should be used on iPods. i was just seeing what people thought about it on a PC. thanks for the input, i think i will save $50 and buy a sling case.

on the palm rest: i would definitely recommend it...

as i hate seeing the wear n tear in the area (makes the laptop look/feel so old...

rest of the body ... sure if u have time

i know ill be purchasing that as soon as i get my mac...

i cant stand to see any scratches on an investment of 1000+

it's totally worth it

rather then the invisible sheild i'd recommend bodyguardz.com

they are just as good as invisible shield but they have less taccy feel to their protection (its much smoother)

plus they are priced the same and have the same lifetime warranty

i have the invisible shield on my MBP
and bodygaurdz on my ipod touch

id say the smooth difference is pretty much equal
and bodygaurds doesnt cover the apple logo while the invisible shield does

invisible shield doesnt give you side protection but body guardz does

2nd pic is bodyguardz
1st is invisible shield

plus invisible shield rite now is 55$ vs 50 for BG

I would. As far as water... you're putting it on aluminum, not any core components. I wouldn't do it for the palm rest, but I would consider it for the bottom and top. I've had my MBP for a few years, and it's beginning to show some wear around the corners, and a few scratches here and there. I've used Invisible Shields (and the other shields) on my iPhone and iPods ever since they came out.

Risk of getting scratches or ugly plastic? Up to you.

its really not ugly plastic... its simply LAMINATED laptop...

so ur still preserving the look of the laptop ur just protecting with a thin layer of protective film

p.s. ZAGG nice job on the pic... i think u guys shold update that pic or atleast add that as a 2nd view to your product...

definately more informative then the one u have up rite now...

n just wondering is this only for the macbook pro (side protection) or also for macbook alu

I went with a best skins ever skin on my blackbook and now what I am wanting to sell my macbook I'm glad I did becuase it looks like the day I bought it.
