So I'm planning on buying the new iPad Air. My first choice was a 32gb LTE model but since then I'm not %100 sure I need LTE now. I would instead get a 64gb wifi one. The was planning getting the LTE to use at work, on road trips and where there is no wifi. But I was thinking I could just hotspot my 5S if I really need wifi during those times. Or even get a normal hotspot. Other than that my ipads normally stay at home. So the question is to LTE or not LTE. Please help me pick. Thanks!

I believe LTE gives you GPS, if that matters to you.

You could also make and receive calls with 3rd party apps.

I've been asking the same question! What do I want more LTE or Storage? Think of it this way...you can always hotspot but you can't add storage. HOWEVER if you are on Verizon they will take $100 off LTE ipads for a 2 year contract. This route you are stuck paying for LTE every month even if you don't use it but it's only $10 per month. You have to decide if that's acceptable to you or not.

Good luck in deciding and let us know what you eventually choose!

I was going with LTE this time and realized I have a free mifi...32gb wifi here! Mini!
