I am getting a replacement Macbook Pro after my original one had its logic board failed so I was wondering what does anybody recommend I migrate my data to the new machine when it arrives. I kept daily backups on a external hard drive using Time Machine so accesing a copy of my data is not out of the realm of possibility. Should I use Migration Assistant when I first setup the new device or should I go the long road and setup a new user account and move only the necessary files on a case by case basis ? How much crust I might be bringing over my original user account to the new machine? To be honest I never had problems using the old machine within my user account but I did certainly installed and uninstalled a considerable amount of apps so I don't know if this might affect my experience on the new machine ?

PS: Now that I remember I did was confronting playback problems of videos purchased from the iTunes Store on my old machine although its hard to pinpoint the cause of the problems when I had my logic board exchanged three times :(
