To prevent iPad from opening Mail automatically

How to prevent this to happen - my iPad is opening all the Mail automatically before giving me the time to Edit it?

Sounds like they mean when the phone is locked and they get an email notification. The minute you unlock the phone, it will immediately open the new mail. Happens to me when I have a new words with friends play notification. The minute I unlock the phone, it opens the game up.

In that case, just wait a few seconds before you unlock your device -- I think until the notification disappears.
