To register iPad or not to? (usually sell once next gen comes out)

So new iPad 2 owner here and am getting prompted to register - but also see the option to select never.

I am just curious what are the benefits to registering the iPad? I know once the next gen comes out I'll probably sell this one, would it be better off not registering?

Registering really only helps if you take it to the Genius Bar or want to keep track of your serial numbers, won't affect resale at all.

Basically if they look up the serial by registering it'll show how many times I've brought it to a genius bar etc?
