To run updated absinthe to fix white icons we have to restore?

I'm asking because @planetbeing says its pointless to run absinthe over your already jail broken phone. Do we have to restore? I'm on 5.0 and I would deal with the white icons instead of restoring to 5.01

Have you tried a respring? I had a white icon show up on both my 4S and iPad2 and that fixed it on both. I am on 5.0.1 though.

Try installing something -- anything -- from Cydia. That usually fixes it even if a respring doesn't occur.

Yes, a respring works and my icons are normal after that. I can deal with that its no biggie But if I can fix it rerunning absinthe without restoring to 5.01 I would. My original 4S had great battery life until I upgraded to 5.01 and it was replaced a couple days ago and it had 5.0 and also has great battery life. I don't want to upgrade to 5.01 unless it's absolutely necessary.

I restored and rejailbreaked using v.02 and still got the white icon error.

I'm gonna stay put regardless then. It's really minor and regardless of this slight glitch our phones r jailbroken.
