Hey guys, iv allways left my pcs on all the time, becuase iv always heard it was better for the Hard drive.

if i put a macbook pro to sleep at night does it do the same to the Hard drive as turnin it off an bootin up.

can leavin a laptop (uMBP) cause more problems with heat, or anything

whats recomended

As I said before in your thread, not letting it sleep is just irresponsible and a waste of power and natural resources. Sleep it.

im just concerned if it harms the computer.

you're not going to hurt your computer by spinning down your hard drives.

if you were worried about the hard drive that much. why did you get a laptop. I HOPE YOU NEVER MOVE with your computer on!!! you myt HaRM et

Glamis hath murdered sleep, and therefore Cawdor Shall sleep no more: Macbeth shall sleep...

Sorry, couldn't resist:p

with laptops its a bit different. Most people just close the lid and put them to sleep when they aren't using them. With desktops computers however most people just turn them on and leave them all day.
