Looking for a bit of advice.

I'm currently on BT Broadband, but due to the distance of my house from the exchange BT say the only speed I'm guaranteed is 1 Meg. I average around 1.5 Meg and on a good day 2.5 Meg. I've been thinking about switching to Virgin Media (who claim I could get a 20 Meg connection)

Anyone made the switch and if so are you happy with Virgin? Or is anyone sticking it out with BT until the roll out 21CN to your area .

Thanks in advance.

I had cable when it was NTL, and as they were switching over to Virgin. Absolute feces! The set-top box for the TV worked once, on a tuesday. And the broadband was slower than a snail smoking dope! And it got disconnected a fair amount, required rebooting the router AND the rubbishy little modem thing they give you - one or other never worked.

Not recommended.

However, I have heard some people have had good experiences, so maybe its just bad in Bournemouth...?
