What's even better is the person that created NoSpot. The Spotlight feature on the iphone is annoying.

The only thing I use it for is to access hidden apps if needed or to do a quick google search. If it wasn't for those things I would use nospot too.

Does this just remove the icon from the status bar?

Yes, just removes the icon.

App is actually named "No Rotation Status"

FYI can also be done with Winterboard, by replacing "Black_RotationLock@2x.png" and "Silver_RotationLock@2x.png" with transparent pngs in the UIImages folder.

This is exactly what I use it for as well. I guess my circle of friends is pretty small. Or my e-penis. Either way, I still have a marginal use for spotlight, though most of the time it would be fantastic to get rid of.

No Spot is a great tweak.

You can put all your hidden apps into the SBSettings dock and access them that way if you want to use No Spot, that's what I do.

Just open SBSettings and press the Dock icon and all the hidden apps slide out similar to the way the brightness setting slides out.

This is exactly what I use it for. Just to access several apps that I have hidden.

If I wasn't Jailbroken I would literally never use Spotlight or have any use for it whatsoever.

I guess I'm dumb, but I don't see what use spotlight serves in terms of friends?
