Has anyone actually tried to do it on the space gray or gold? I know all of you would say "it will remove the coating" but isn't this coating thick enough to not peel? (I've seen some pictures of flaky space gray x but that could be fixed)

I'd love to know if those polishing pastes can remove even the lightest scratches off of a space gray or gold iPhone X/s/Max.

And one additional question: do these products change the finish of the stainless steel? By that I mean how the light reflects onto it, since when you use them they also claim to polish the phone, so it would shine. But does this shine look different than the Apple's one?
