...you are my hero. I can't imagine how much effort went into designing this box, but it's just brilliant. I love how the panels move together to release the display, and how everything is easy to put back together if you want to store the display (while waiting for the actual computer to show up). This packaging reminds me of an older Leica M camera box, which unravels itself to present you with the final set of latches and drawers to open.

The screen itself is pretty good. I'm a bit unhappy with the height of the standard model. In hindsight, I should have gone for the height adjustable stand. Now I'll have to add some sort of stand under the display high enough to place the Studio underneath. The build quality is fantastic, which is where I feel the extra cost has gone above the LG Ultrafine; I think it's good value for the build quality.

Yes, I agree - ever since they changed the packaging when I got the M1 iMac, that was amazing engineering.

I remember from 10 years ago, the packaging used huge styrofoam blocks for packaging the Intel & Power PC iMacs...

I can see why Apple changed it's packaging to more earth friendly materials.

As for the Studio display, the base model without height adjustment is perfect - height is good, ergonomic fit, and very sharp (coming from a 2011 Thunderbolt display for 11 years).

The Mac Studio fits perfect under and behind the Studio display so I am just fine.
