I just reserved an iPhone 6, and got an email saying its reserved for me… So I have a couple questions:

1) should I still arrive extra early in line even though the scheduled pick up time is 8:30 am - 9:30 am?

2) is there a separate line for reservations? How do I go about picking it up? I only just got a email to my Apple ID.

3) even if you do reserve one, is there still a chance it can become unavailable?

Thanks

Are you in the US, or another country?

The only reason I ask is because I pre-ordered for in-store pickup, and got an email saying it would be available that day, but did not get a scheduled pick-up time.

Last time I did it, I didn't get a scheduled time either. I just received an e-mail the day of when it was ready to pick up.

I live in Canada.

I reserved an iPhone and I don't have to pay yet until I pick it up

Arrive at the time specified. I guarantee you there will be a separate line. By 8:00am the line will be no less than a few hundred people long and each person on average takes about 10 minutes to get through. No way you'd wait in that line.

Did anyone in the US get a pickup time? So far the only mentions of receiving a pickup time were from someone in Canada and someone in the UK.

I picked my slot (UK)

There will be a seperate line here, and I just spoke to the Apple store in question.

Basically the iPhone has my name on it as long as I arrive within the time slot, but I was advised to arrive slightly before or on my allotted time.

HTH

What's the difference between "Reserved" and "Preordered for In-Store Pickup"? Is Reserved non-US?

I'm in the US, and I preordered the 128gb 6+ Space Gray. Shipping dates had already slipped beyond launch, so I chose in-store pickup which was available on the 19th.

I don't have a time to show up -- it just says "Available 9/19 - We'll notify you when these items are ready." on my order confirmation email.

1) I've reserved one too for pickup between 0800-0900, I'm getting there at around 0700ish.

2) Yes, there will be two queues. One for pickup and the other (which will be much longer but the way) for people simply walking in the store to TRY and get one.

3) Yes, it's yours. Just like mine, is mine!!

What do you mean 'reserve'? It's either in store pickup OR shipped to you.

Reserving is simply walking in and picking it up.

No difference. The U.S. stores will send an email when the phone is ready for p/u on launch day... The email likely will come either after closing on Thursday or sometime on Fri. AM.
