This seems to be a fairly common question although I am still unable to find the answer I'm looking for.
I have a couple QuickTime video files that have been formatted for AppleTV playback (.m4v). These two files are needing to be combined into one video, which I'm doing though QuickTime Player 7 (Pro). I'm simply copying the content of "Part 1" into "Part 2", followed by exporting to an .mp4.
To skip the process of re-encoding, I've selected the "pass through" option for the video option. For the audio, however, I am not given the option to "pass through" as it is grayed out.
After fiddling around with the options, it's obvious this has something to do with combining "Part 1" with "Part 2", as I can export and "pass through" audio without a problem when the files are separated. Below is exactly what I've got when attempting to do the pass through.
Any ideas? Thanks.
