To those who upgraded their iPhones and repaired their Apple Watch, do you still get a duplicate??

Well, my Jet Black is coming soon and in the mean time, I'm enjoying my matte black.

When I upgraded from my 6s to 7 Plus, I repaired my Apple Watch and noticed there is a duplicate device of the Apple Watch, I feel like I missed a step, unless this is what happens? Can someone confirm that they get this to? Duplicate device in Health.

Is it possible that you are seeing an older and newer backup of the same watch? I have that on my iPhone 7 Plus and with Watch Gen 2, and, would LOVE to know how to merge them. I don't want to delete the older, as evidently it's still being read and used for Health and other applications...
