I was curious once to see if wiping my drive would improve performance, it really doesn't do much. I also tried Jaguar because I had a copy laying around.

Other than those times, I never feel a need to wipe my system drive.

Never tend to wipe my drives as such. I don't tend to edit from my main System Drive though, and use a different internal HDD to edit on instead. I then back everything up once finished to an external drive, and delete the project from the internal one.

When you have a good 4TB of RAID that is nearly full, you never get the chance to erase it :D

Really. I mean, like where would you put that much stuff to wipe it clean...

I just keep buying bigger drives. I'm up to the 500GB LaCie d2.

It seems that every time I have bought a new drive the price point has been the same for twice as much space.

never have.
Who's got time?
Or twice the storage they need?

LOL.....

WORD!!!

I have 1.5 TB internal.. I have 500GB partioned for the BIG $$$ projects (backed up on external HD)..
..
All other projects get there own External HD via FIREWIRE.... I rarely use less than 500GB External Drives per project.

cheers
