Hi all,

I'm getting impatient waiting for Apple to add BluRay support to iDVD, or any of their products for that matter. I'm planning on authoring my own BR discs within a year, and it's starting to look like the best way to do that might be to grab an external BD-R drive and Toast 10.

My question is: if a guy has a last-gen Mac Mini with maxed-out RAM, would that be enough to run Toast 10 and edit 1080p video? Without that, my only other option is to finally sink the money into that Mac Pro I've had my eyes on... but $300 (Toast + drive) vs $4,000+ makes me want to strongly consider making do with the Mini for a while longer. I don't even think I'd consider a refurb iMac, because once I decide for sure the Mini isn't enough, I'll just keep running in the opposite direction.
