I just got Roxio Toast 12 and not sure what is going on.

I have a file that is 3.91 GB, its a quicktime movie exported from FCP Apple ProRes 422 (HQ), Linear PCM...

my question is, when I go to make a DVD of the movie i drag and drop it and toast 12 says 161.7 MB on disc - SPACE REMAINING 4.32 GB. Is toast 12 compressing my file? Really confused why a 3.91gb file is only taking up 161.7 MB. Please advise!! thanks!!

It is telling you, that with the size of the file you want to burn to disc, there will only be 161 MB of free space left, in case you want to add something else before completing the burn process. It isn't reading the large GB file as only being 161 MB in size.

I don't know, it reads:

"161.7 MB on 1 disc Space Remaining 4.23 GB"

and the bar on the bottom has a sliver of the green filled
