Multisession Copy Support?

Does anyone of you know whether Roxio 6 will support the copy of multisession cd´s?

I haven´t figured out how you do this with OSX. I know that in Windows you can use Nero Brun ROM to do a bit-for-bit copy of a multisession CD.

I tried it both with Toast 5.21 and Disk Copy, but no success until now.

Or are there any other software options you may recommend?

This is not about burning a multisession CD, but about making a copy of one.

the fine print also mentions a $20 upgrade rebate the ends Sept. 1. Anyone know anything more on this?

Looks like I won't be getting it though...its been rated "Mature" according to the Amazon.com ad. What....does it swear at you if you hit the wrong button? Randomly burn porn to your CD or DVD?

$20 rebate

Press release says:

The suggested retail price is $99.95 (USD). Prior Toast, Jam, and Easy CD & DVD Creator retail customers are eligible for a $20 mail-in rebate. Details are included in the retail product.

So...

If the $20 is in the retail box (meaning wherever you buy it - not just Roxio), then it's on top of any other discount you get, and it couldn't possibly expire on Sep 1st.

Mature

I'm curious. Amazon posts a rating of Mature on toast 6. I think we may be in for some MAJOR UI changes.

The upgrade rebate ends Sept. 1 2004 not this year.

If you look at the Roxio site it says $79.99 with a free gift after rebate. Cant tell if that $20 rebate is the upgrade rebate or if its another pre-order special rebate.

It also shows two discs in the toaster...wouldn't that be cool, burn two discs at a time!

I actually bought 5, well worth the money all this time....

I will probably upgrade, though I see no reason to.. why should I?

Looks awesome with tons of new features!

There's a flash demo...

http://www.roxio.com/en/products/toast/product_demo.jhtml

and a pdf...

http://docs.roxio.com/en/toast/toast6_datasheet.pdf

It finally includes SVCD encoding and creation tools (chapters, buttons etc) as well as VCD and DVD, something long overdue on the Mac.

Plug & Burn for video - finally - direct recording and encoding to disc from a DV camera! Still a bit unsure of the details, encoding, formats allowed but it looks like Roxio is really going with the "digital hub" concept.

Encryption of CDs and DVDs! Previously I have had to create an encrypted disc and burn that to the CD. I couldn't encrypt the CD itself.

All sorts of other features look good. The new effects for Photos (cross fades, pan and zoom etc), the rendezvous networking, automatic back up, compression of data (up to 50%), burning directly from the Finder.

All in all, sort of a cross between iLife and Disc Burner with added features, in some ways better.

I'd be interested to see what it's cue/bin and overburning support are. For that, I currently use Firestarter FX.
