I have an iMac G4 and am currently using Toast 7. With the original CD burner that came with the computer I was able to burn CDs and use the computer while burning with no slowdown. My CD burner recently died so I swapped it for a Pioneer DVR-111D DVD burner. Everytime I burn a CD now the system slows down to a crawl and freezes until it finishes.....I think the CPU jumps up to 100% as well...I think it even said 109% in the Activity Monitor one time. Does anyone know what the issue might be here? My RAM is maxed out at 1GB. Thanks.
