Hi mac users,
so I've used mac the ripper to save a movie (encrypted) dvd copy to temporary hard-drive file, and I think I was next supposed to use Toast 7 to burn this new VIDEO_TS file of the movie to a dvd-r I had inserted in my imac intel superdrive.
I chose the right folder, checked the fit-to-compress box, chose "movie only" (no previews, french languages...) in recording settings, for less compression, and began recording. There was a status bar filling up, with hours/minutes amount counting down. But at some point, every time, the minutes stop counting, and eventually the toast 7 page returns to its "home" copy/burn/photo collage page, with no dvd burning results to be seen anywhere.
Does anyone know what stumbling block I have run into? I looked carefully to see if i could copy onto a dvd-r. It is a TDK 4x DVD-R, 4.7 GB, and when recording, the memory meter bopttom right did not reach the "red point", so i proceeded.
Thanks for the help, and if you need to ask me questions to be able to assist me, fire away.
