Toast/DVD burn. Specific audio problem.

I am running Toast 7 Titanium on Tiger.
I want to lop the first 5 seconds off the audio of an avi file and burn it to DVD.
I can't figure out how to do this. Can anyone explain it to me?
I have searched on here and combed the Toast Help but can't figure it out.

Use Garage Band to make the edit, bounce the audio and drag it back into toast.
