hey all. I'm attempting to back up HDD data to blank DVD's for archiving. when I insert the blank, Toast 6 opens. I'm not looking to use that, I just want to burn from the finder like I do CD's. When I close Toast, the DVD ejects. I have gone into Toast's setup assistant and UNCHECKED the "launch Toast on DVD insert" button, multiple times. When I log off and back on, the buttons are CHECKED again.

has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas, other than uninstalling Toast?

Thanks gang.

Set your preferences

Go into System Preferences->CDs & DVDs

Select the appropriate action you want the system to take "When you insert a blank DVD" from the dropdown.

hope this helps.
