Toast vs PopCorn as a DVD burner

I need a DVD burner and it looks like Toast and PopCorn are the two best chooses (Toast just seems to have more features). It seems strange that they are both offered by the same company, Roxio. Was one originally made by a different company that was bought/acquired by Roxio or is PopCorn a direct subset of Toast? Are both (or PopCorn at least) going to continue to be supported?

Popcorn only has a small set of the features found in Toast. If you only plan to burn movie DVDs, then Popcorn will do that. Its main feature is the ability to compress unencrypted DVDs and Video_TS folders to a single layer DVD. It will also copy unencrypted DVDs.

If that is all you want to do, then go for Popcorn.
