OS9, Toast 4.1.2 - Extentions tells me I'm missing: Toast USB Support - - shlb CDr3 and consequently I suppose that's why I'm getting the message "No CD- Recorder. Please check cables and power" when I try to burn a CD.

Checked hardware with another computer, I have Toast USB Support in my ententions folder (3 of them actually) and the boxes ticked in extentions so I don't know what I'm neglecting.

I would uninstall Toast and resinstall it. Three 'toast usb support' files sound too many.
It the toast install cd doesn't have uninstaller, try to trash every file that belongs to toast and then reinstall..

I'm using a seperate partition for videoediting and that way I don't have to reinstall the OS, but, yes I erase my "video partition" when I feel its needed.
It's no use to erase all partitions.
But, if you want to make yourself much unececery work......
