almost every time I make toast, there's an error when verifying the disk. Sometimes disks have problems being read, sometimes they're actually fine.

toast problem?
mb problem?
dvd problem?
optical drive problem?
normal?

banana?

thanks,

Mike

Could you fill in some info?
What ver. of Toast and is it updated? What type of media are you using? Have you used other media? burn speed? Are you using printable media before or after making a label? Are you using other programs at the same time and last what error is coming up on the screen?

answers

running titanium 8.0

burning dvds -- when I use the finder to burn dvds, they're not readable by my dvd player at all.

running other programs while it burned - but only 1-2 small programs - i.e. used firefox instead of safari as it uses much less memory...

Can't remember the exact error - but I believe it's
sector xxxxx is unreadable

also, found this in another forum.

Very true. Some DVDs have intentionally bad VOB files to prevent pirating. Most of the time appz like Mac the Ripper can pad over these, but some of the show up when tryng to burn.

Yours sounds like bad media. I would get an error like that using Memorex media and some Maxell. Since I changed over to TDK and Verbatum the only errors I get is if I set things up different than I have in the past (playing around trying to test things out).

hmm

FUJIFILM

We'll see how it keeps going.. I understood that all DVDs were created equal.
