Anyone playing ToCa Race Driver 3 for Mac OS X by Feral?
http://www.feralinteractive.com/game/rd3

I just bought it, and in the past I have played Race Driver 2 A LOT on my ex-gaming PC in the past, and really loved it... looked good (except the rear view mirror) and had a nice feel to it. :)
Just installed this version 3 for Mac, and done a few quick free races, and IMHO it doesn't seem to look as good as Race Driver 2 on the PC did...?!?

I am so glad Feral is getting these titles to the Mac without having to "Cider" them, but I just hoped ToCa Race Driver 3 would have been better than Race Dirver 2.
Don't get me wrong... the physics and Force Feedback support (Logitech MOMO FF wheel) are excellent, and the grfx look good, so a good racing game in general.
Maybe I have a bad memory or my eyes are getting worse... but I play this Race Driver 3 on my Mac Pro ('08 with 8800 GT) @ 1920 x 1200 with FSAA 4x, and all settings max, but it just seems a little less sharp and less lighting fun than Race Dirver 2 had...?

Anyone?

I know GRiD is even better (I own that game too, and sometimes play it using XP, and OMG that game is AWESOME!!!), but I prefer to stay in Mac OS X and race without having to restart.
And I must admit, I like the fact Feral is doing their best to get these titles over to the Mac, and I support them doing so. Just like back in the day they introduced F1 CS 2000 to the Mac. Very cool.

I just wonder if anyone else had got this game.

Seems I am the only Mac-racer out there..??

Just wanted to give a nice little follow-up.
I am used to the slightly-too-much-contrast grfx, and now I adore this game. Driving is gr8!!

I'm not the kind of gamer that plays the career mode till the bitter end, so I was very happy to find the following to get all cars and tacks active, so I can have a go in the Indy Cars, etc...: "Race Driver 3 Treasure!!"

Find it yourself.... the treasure isn't hidden all that well... :)

I love Toca. Actually, I was impressed to see that features in realism that Gran Turismo hasn't implemented are there! For example, if you have 6th gear and you drop down in 1st, 2nd or even reverse, you will ram your gearbox. That's something that Gran Turismo hasn't implemented. There are also some other things.

Handling is quite unique, and the gameplay reminds me of the old Colin Mc Ray games.

TOCA 3 Rocks

I really want to buy it, but the demo is locking up my 1st gen iMac. 24" 2.1ghz, 128gb VRAM and 2.5gb RAM.
I turned down the setting a bit but it look really blocky...any suggestions??

Drop us an email via the support address in the support tab and we can log the issue. Attaching a support report would also be great!

I have an iMac Intel 24" that I am trying to play Toca RD3 (Full Version) on. I can play the game in Simulation Mode, but when I go to World Tour or any other Mode the game crashes to the desktop. Any Ideas?

Sys config:
OSX 10.4.11
2gb Mem
Ati Radeon HD2600
71GB free HDD space
Logitech Momo FF series wheel

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking for a racing game for my mac for a very long time, and am very dissapointed this one will not work. :-(
