Today - Apple Stores - Walk right in and get cases?

Does anyone know if you can just walk right into an Apple Store today and get cases?

i.e. No waiting in line with people there for phones?

I feel like a few iPhone launches ago (last time I went to a store on iPhone launch day) they were doing this ridiculous nonsense of letting NOBODY in the store other than out of the line, even if you were there for something not related to buying a newly released phone.
