iPod Today show compares Zune to Monochrome iPod

Yep, that's right. In their side by side comparison, the Today show displays the Zune next to a Gen 4 iPod and then goes on to show the iPod Mini. The nano and current iPods are not shown at all in the piece introducing the Zune.

Why not? Both of those are better than the zune.

They need all the help they can get. I'd still rather have a 2 yr old iPod than a brand new zoon.

Hmm...I didn't see that comparison piece, but I did see another brief point yesterday where the hosts were talking about it coming out and Matt & Al both said "We're iPod guys" while Merideth I think said she didn't use any mp3 player. They also noted that MSNBC is a joint venture between the two companies...
