Todays standard iMacs vs Late 2013 Mac Pro

My daughter has been working off of a late 2013 Mac Pro. She asked me if todays standard desktop iMacs can do the same thing (graphics editing, rendering i guess) or would she need to invest in an iMac Pro. I said I didn't know and apologies that I don't have specifics but before I start going down a rabbit hole of add-ons I thought I'd ask the general question here first.
