I have a BT mighty mouse and the trackpad set to be ignored when a mouse is present in system preferences. However, every now and then I scuttle off with my ibook somewhere else in the house and don't take the mighty mouse with me. As it is still in range though I can not use the trackpad and am stuck with no pointer input and have to scuttle back to get it and disable it. Obviously I should just switch off the mighty mouse or take it with me in the first place but I am lazy..... so, is there anyway to switch the trackpad back on, or the mighty mouse / bluetooth off with the mighty mouse being "present" in bluetooth terms but not actually in my hand? This would save me an awful lot of scuttleing! Thanks in advance.

In System Prefs just make sure you haven't ticked the 'ignore trackpad when mouse is present' option.

Then you can use both.
