Xfinity modems automatically create a network that’s available for public use called xfinitywifi. This is a nice convenience for me, on a cell phone data plan that doesn’t have unlimited data, And I’m out and about during the day, so downloading podcasts and other large things doesn’t tax my data plan. The problem is, I don’t want this network to automatically join as I’m walking down the street or driving in the car, which it often does because there are so many of these networks as you drive through populated areas. I turn off the toggle for automatically joining, in the next day I’m driving around and I notice that I’m connected to Wi-Fi as I drive down the street and it is connected to that same network,And the toggle for automatically joining is enabled again. This problem has been going on since before iOS 14 I think, but not forever. Anybody have an idea? I’ve tried forgetting the network entirely and joining again, but the problem remains.
