Toggling Display Mode No Longer Functioning (16" M1 Pro)

I used to be able to toggle between display modes and it would work without issue. Now when I toggle between HDR Video and XDR Display Mode (1600nits) nothing happens.

I used to be able to toggle on HDR Video mode while playing an HDR video and it would really brighten up the image but that no longer functions.

Anyone else having this issue?
