Where does this app pull it's data from? I'd like to see how accurate it is around my area before I commit to a purchase....or is it only good for big cities? etc.....

Thanks for your question.

The App pulls the data using Google Places and Google Maps. It should work anywhere in the world but will probably more accurate in cities.

JASApplications,

I love this idea - simple yet very necessary!

Is there a feature that allows me to "save" offline toilet map data so I can preload the data of a large area via Wi-Fi but then use the app when I do not have Wi-Fi and no 3G?

Also, does your app contact any other server (your own or otherwise) to pull or upload usage data? Any privacy issue, particularly uploading usage data (sorry, but I don't like my data being upload as to how many times I activate the app to look for a toilet nearby... somehow this just feels embarrassingly wrong)?

Since I've had tons of emails about whether this App works worldwide, I'm going to answer it here so everyone sees it!

So, YES the App works worldwide!

Thanks for your continued support!

Again, since you don't seem to like to answer tough questions. Why your app and not just use Maps or Places?

Unfortunately that feature is not available at the moment however I could definitely implement it into a future update! In the meantime, I none technical solution would be to take a screenshot (press home and power buttons) of the map indicating where the toilets are and then open up the photos app every time you want to view in offline mode!

The App pulls the data from the Google Maps/Places server and I do not believe any data is uploaded.

Thanks for your comment and I will look to implement the feature after I get back from holiday!

What this app needs is social networking!

When you're in the toilet it should automatically update your Facebook and Twitter to tell all your friends and followers. Also, once everybody has this app open on their phone, you'll be able to identify which of the nearby public toilets are available, which are being used, and which have the longest lines.

Thanks for the feedback. I will bear it in mind for a future update!

That would be wonderful! To implement some kind of cache of the map data will be a tremendous help in making this app practical and actually useful.

Thanks :)

LOL! People would tweet about that

It's a feature which is fairly easy to inplement with Google Maps/Places so I put it in just in case. Better to have something and not need it than to need something and not have it.

Fair enough but i'm interested to know if YOU have ever rung a toilet and what for!?
