I think the idea is brilliant. However, I just tested it and it didn't detect any of the toilets in the conference hall I'm sitting in, but directed me to a hotel across the road. So what kind of toilets are included?

It is mainly public toilets. However if a location (i.e a hotel) is registered in Google Places and has a toilet in it, it will probably be included.

I use one called sit or squat. Works pretty well.

Potty is more of an American expression. Potty in the UK typically means silly. I think directness is a better approach, especially considering the topic. When you have to go, you have to go!
