iPod touch tom tom gps maps + tom tom gps cradle q

hello i am considering buying the tom tom mapping app for my touch and also the gps car mount kit from tom tom and i thought i should ask the gurus on here if it all works good first.
any comments welcome !

to the OP - i haven't read of anyone that has bought it yet. You might check in the Appstore forum here and see if there are any reports in the Tomtom thread.

ETA: Figured i should add that Magellan also offers a kit that works with the Touch. It isn't shipping yet, but they have an active presence in the App forum. There is a gift apparently for those people that pre-ordered the kit as a thanks for waiting out the delay.

oops... I forgot to check on that. There are reports that people have issues with it. an mroogle search shows it.

I purchased both the car kit and the software for my iPhone 3gs. It seems to work well and I got the $49.00 price. The car holder has a gps built in with speaker.

Where can you buy the TomTom iPod kit (cradle)? The TomTom website doesn't sell it and lists the Apple Store as the only other place to get it, but the Apple Store online says it ships in 1-2 months. Where can I get it for Xmas?

its a shame the special price on tom tom maps is for the usa only.
i might wait and see if they drop the price in australia as well.
so for awhile, i will keep getting lost !
