TomTom Car Kit Mount Question

I have been looking at purchasing the TomTom car kit for my iPhone, but I have a question in regards to the adhesive mount for the kit. For those of you that already own the kit, does the adhesive leave any residue on your windshield when you remove it? I previously owned a TomTom ONE unit a few years back, and that came with a suction cup mount, which I prefer over the adhesive mount. Any insight or alternatives would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

@nburwell the TomTom Car Kit is fitted with a suction cup as well. A good one, it hangs to the windshield without any problem, it has a rotating ring to activate the suction cup
